how long a job posting should remain active(some jobs fill very quickly)
what qualifies as a job posting( "i think sometime in the next xxx, my company is going to be putting some guys on" v. an actual published posting)
details required(i.e. something more than " hey call xyz ambulance and ask for billy bubba. tell em billy bobby sent ya").
etc etc.
if this is going to be effective as a networking tool, there has be rules or it will just turn into a giant C.F.
Good idea.
I'd say have the rules be pretty tight. Require at least a few things if someone is posting a job expecting to get resumes from it.
-job title
-basic description
-detailed requirements
-end date for applications (no open ended postings)
-full contact info and link to company website (if there is one)
If this takes off the site could add a mini-resume builder into the profile so companies could look around if they want to.
There can be an issue with posting someone's contact information on a web based forum...especially if they don't consent to it. However, I don't think this is an insurmountable problem.

unless that information is otherwise posted in another public domain. so i could post a copy of a job add i came across on the internet, since its already in the public domain(as long as i dont violate any copyrights etc in the process).
