Duke University School of Medicine uses it. However, I can't see where this could come anywhere close to the experience you would get in a simulation lab.

Example of a Simulation Lab:

Oh I'll definitely agree that a simulation lab would be much better, but I just don't have the funding to buy one for myself :P

I ran across this recently. Does anybody have any information on it, like when it will be out and whether it will be available to the public?

Thanks!

Nice way to do case studies I would think.

We had a much less purty one at uni. It wasn't any good though because you always felt you knew what you would be doing/looking for but you had to figure out how to make the computer do that.

Interesting way to use simulation, not sure if it would work for me. Received a newborn/mother and child sim-man over the holidays. They have made teach PALS and ACLS more entertaining. Students are more engaged it seems.

When you say sim-man are you talking about a computer program or those resusi-anne type dolls with vitals and so forth? Because the dolls are invaluable.

We have the resusi-anne type dolls. Teaching seldom used skills at a FD and they have 3 of them as well. Makes running scenarios a lot easier.
