There is a section of the HIPAA laws that allows for providers to follow up on patients for QA/QI (educational) purposes. Does anyone know the name of this section, or have a link to its text?

In general, follow up information for education/QI is allowed as long as any of the standard 18 identifiers for PHI are redacted. (I work for a hospital-based service, the stuff is drilled into us.)
