Hello again... question about class in one state, job in another

A while back I posted some question or other about becoming an EMT, and I did not end up taking the class back then, but I am still considering it.

At the moment I'm in Massachusetts taking care of my very sick parents, but I intend to move back to New York whenever this madness ends.

My question is, if I take an EMT course here in MA, will I then be able to become an EMT in New York? (Barring all normal factors like job availability, that is?)

Or is there some requirement that states have saying you have to have received your education in that state?

Here's the NY State EMS FAQ that covers reciprocity...

Their policy appears to be that you can not obtain reciprocity with just a NR certification, you MUST be certified by a state or the military.

That word "reciprocity" was exactly what I needed to know. Thanks for that link. (It helped my find this link - http://www.nyhealth.gov/nysdoh/ems/certification/reciprocity.htm - which should answer all my questions.)
