Hall Ambulance Bakersfield

Hello,
I was wondering if someone could tell me how the schedule works for Hall Ambulance working the 12hr metro shifts like what days and time you are scheduled? Also how is field training and the orientation like? I have an interview tomorrow the first one but i don’t know what to expect. I do go to school that is why i wanted to see if the schedule they give out after field training is at set times or random times i had asked the recruiter but they couldn’t tell me if i get schedule A or B. Thank you.

It’s been almost 3 years since I worked there, but I’m still relatively familiar with the company and its structure.

In short, schedules are mostly seniority based. That said there are numerous types of schedules (e.g., first half/ second half, supervisor schedules, 8-hour [maybe not these anymore], 10-hour cars [maybe still 2 created for specific tenured employees]).

Start times stagger throughout the day and are modified to meet their “peak demand hours”. This is not uncommon, nor unique to Hall Ambulance.

Hopefully this is accurate and somewhat helpful, though I’m sure by now someone at the company has answered some of the questions.

Good luck, some days I still miss working there. I enjoyed my time with Hall quite a bit.
