Honestly man most places are moving to just a general knowledge test or those "situational tests" in which you have to pick what you would do given the described situation or give your opinion on the question. You can't really study for those tests.
With that being said basic interview questions for most fire departments. Be able to give your strong points, weaknesses, why you would like to obtain a career in the fire service, etc.
Sell yourself. Tell them your interested in ALS even if your not etc etc. Getting hired with the fire service isn't easy in todays day and age. They want Paramedics, African Americans, Asians, Women, you get the picture (and this is not a racial comment because more places have a quota). The days of being a 18 y.o. white male with a high school diploma and getting a job in the fire service are over in most places.
