Finding Your Own Clinical Sites

Hello everyone,

Does anyone have any experience in having to find their own clinical sites- ER and riding a BLS/ALS truck? I am considering a school out of state but might be responsible for finding my own clinical sites. Any pointers? I found a website with a list of clinical sites for nursing students and wasn't sure if there was something similar for EMS students. Thanks for your help.

It will be hit or miss. Some places are super open/don't really care who rotates with them, other places are super strict. Check if the school you are looking into has contacts with any national companies, such as Rural Metro, because that could make finding clinical sites a lot easier. A LOT of places will be cautious of online students, so beware.
