Alright so im new to the forum so i guess ill give a little base info. i am half way in to my first semester of my EMT-basic classes at LCC(Lansing community college). i am getting the information down but all the steps of actually doing the procedures or steps to actually even be able to start things i am not feeling exactly the best with. i have been studying and reading the chapters and going over my notes to the point of feeling comfortable but when it takes time to lecture quizzing i have not been getting the scores that i want and know i am capable of.
i guess what im asking is, was there anything that all of you emt's and paramedic's did or used to just remember all of the specific steps and information to where it was just second nature? just any little tips or tricks used with studying and getting the information down. i know it will come with time but i could use some different techniques.
o yeah i haven’t mentioned the one small thing, i am pretty dyslexic, actually very dyslexic. so it takes me a little longer to get understand and remember what i am reading, usually i will read the same thing twice.
