I've been searching the net for good companies that sell jump kits and have only found a few. I would appreciate any advice as to who makes the better brands for my $. Thank you.

Try the search function from the bar on the top of the page....there have been a few threads regarding this subject.

Some of the packs I have utilized in the past that suited our needs included the following:

Iron Duck
LA Rescue
and our most recent packs that have proven to be the most versatile as well as durable are the Stat Packs

P.o.s.t. Evoc

I know there are plenty of "EVOC" courses out there but does anyone use the POST course and standards?

WAY wrong place to post this and too late to change it. Will re-post where I should have to begin with.

With the group Im with, putting together a personal jump kit isnt really necessary, especially since I already deploy with about a 65 pound pack. However...I carry one anyway. I got it as HSGear.biz and its there new "tactical" take on the old MASH style M3 bag. Its got lots of space for personal medical stuff as well as advanced first aide and this is really why i carry it. I have rigged it to my main pack and it goes along when I get deployed and also in my car. Its a great kind of first responder, blow out bag. And its about $50. YMMV
