So I'm going to be enrolling in the EMT class at Scottsdale Community College in Arizona. I'm very excited to start but I don't know what to expect. How much of a challenge would say is the EMT training? Of course I'm not looking for any easy path, I'm more than willing to accept the challenge. Also, would anyone here happen to have any advice for someone taking EMT classes?

Put your best foot forward

Study and practice the content so you are comfortable with what is being taught. Have fun but don't act like a tool because your instructors will remember you and they might be interveiwing you for a job one day.

haha. I'll definitely remember that. I want to make a good impression there and I definitely wont act like a tool.
Is there anything I should do now before I start my classes to better prepare myself?

what to do.

You could get a EMT-B exam study guide and start going through the questions. Your tests are going to be made up of the same kind of questions that will be on the National registry exam. Know your different body systems (basics) and know all the bones. As soon as you start the class and get your skills check off sheets practice as much as you can becuase if you don't know your stuff the firefighters/instructors will make fun of you. Keep your head up becuase they wil say something along the lines of "look around, most of you won't pass the class, those that pass the class some wont pass the national registry exam, of those who pass the exam and receive a license, very few will ever get jobs", all you can do is your best.
