1. When seconds count, police are minutes away...
2. Police have no duty to respond anyways. See court cases like Warren v District of Columbia.
Yeah, I guess, however why don't they dispatch a cop along with the rig, we get LAPD, or LACoSD, depending where we are on almost every call. Just a thought.

Not sure how the dutch system works. I know we have atleast one dutch EMS worker here, and maybe the british guys could weigh in as I've heard they get somewhat similar.

Exactly.
I'd do it, but I'd have to contact med control, and the radio is broken and I'm out of minutes on the cell.....

Outstanding PSA! Other countries take it serious, but here in the US where assaults are the number one reason for lost work hours in EMS, adminstrators in many places still try to sweep it under the rug.
