Come to the Dark Side we have sign on bonuses lol. Serious though Texas has a shortage of Paramedics right now and it's insane. $7500 dollar sign on bonuses and moving expenses are becoming the norm. People are literally working one year then going to another agency cause of the sign on bonuses. Harvey has a nice little deal up there you thinking of leaving?

Been there, done that. If I ever moved to Texas it wouldn't be to AMR, it'd be a county third service with good retirement.

And @CALEMT lol, I always keep my options open. I am happy where I am now, but would you turn down a 3% @ 50 with the chance to cover majestic parts of California up to, and including Heart Castle if, and/ or when you had your fair share of paramedic experience...and had no interest in nozzle-work?

I just saw an opening here for 6% percent match with a well respected third county system. It's hospital district based but good stations and only thirty minute drive to Fort Worth so its rural and suburbs nice mix. Smaller communities (biggest town is 26k) and I've noticed they are not ran hard on the rigs. If I was to do it all over I would go there.

Hell no, I looked it up. Seems like a rad place to work, too bad it's in CA...

You know, CA does have amazing potential for EMS, if only the state would consider changes.

Covering Hearst Castle and having a pension does sound enticing, California or not.
