Hi I am attending an exhibit in April called Body World with my medic class for four hours of anatomy experience for clinicals. I was wondering if anyone has gone and what their experience was like. I'm really excited to go.

I've never been to Body World specifically, but I've been to several cadaver labs. I've always found them very beneficial and enlightening. I'm not sure how in depth and involved yours will be, but make yourself as involved as you can.

Body World isn't a cadaver lab, but it is interesting and can be educational. I found it to be geared more towards the "edutainment" style, but it can give you an appreciation of the intricacies of many parts of the body.

I have been to several cadaver labs and to Body Worlds 3 times.

If you are a visual learner, Body Worlds is outstanding.

If you are a tactile learner, cadaver lab is better.

They are no replacement for 8 semester credits of college A&P with lab. They are a great supplement.

For our medic anatomy experience hours we can do cadaver labs as well as body world. It can also be done at an actual morgue to watch an autopsy.

all three of those things I would love to see.

I am dying to find a cadaver lab, or a autopsy that I can sit in on.. These are usually reserved around here for physician students..

I've been to Body Worlds: Vital. It's aimed at the general public, and rather short and preachy for the ticket price, but you can find some fascinating things if you take your time and look carefully. In particular, look at the plastinated coronary arteries and the whole-body slices, which are like CT slices, but with color and texture (turns out they do frozen sections of a body, then plastinate it. Can't be a fun job.).

I saw "bodies", the same sort of thing, in Seattle. I thought it was decent. My a&p series didn't offer a cadaver lab, which has always been on my list of "wanna dos"
