anyone hiring in los angeles/south bay/ long beach area?

hello everyone,

just joined this forum minutes ago.. i found out today that i passed my nremt exam and will try to get certified in LA county this week.. i'm wondering if there are any companies hiring right now? the only ambulance company i know that are hiring is gerber in torrance.. is it hard to get into the fire dept or hospital?

Congrats on passing the NREMT. Unfortunately, you may have chosen the worst time ever to get into EMS. Most reputable ambulance companies are full, FD is one the hardest jobs to get(especially in SoCal). Hospitals pay the most for a basic but get a ton of applicants. Apply everywhere and stay persistent.
 
PM me. my company is hiring. really doubt gerber is hiring right, now for a very specific reason.
 
I'm guessing he labeled it as 'his company' because he either doesn't want it to be public knowledge or his company has policies in place about networking sites online, or a combination of the two.
