Anaheim Fire Ambulance Operator Program

Surprised that there isn’t a thread on this already. Anaheim fire seems to be cutting ties with Care, to start up their own program. The application period is over, and interviews are to be self-scheduled for early May.
The process itself seems kind of unorganized, but it appears to be on the city’s HR side, not the department.
Anyone here have any other info on the Anaheim/Care relations, or the AO program itself?

Shouldn't change much operationally. Care pretty much has provided the staff and rigs for the ambos to be controlled by AFD dispatch. Care dispatch couldnt touch them, at least when I was there many years ago. Anaheim used to hire quite a few of those guys since they were in-house. Sounds like they are just cutting out the middleman. Seems to be the wave now in SoCal, Torrance just started a program. Chula Vista too.
