What's the law regarding driving an ambulance with a different company name, and no license number on the sides of the rig? The two company's are in no way related. I'm sure it's illegal in some way right?

Heck just ask the state EMS office or look at the rules online. The lic. number is supposed to be mandatory.

TAC 157.11(d)(7) requires the department issued license number to be prominently displayed on the side of all licensed, in service ambulances.
 
Thank you, I figured the TX license number was mandatory. Oh well, I guess it's the good ole Houston IFT shenanigans.
