Just an update:
My luck, the lady never returned any of my 2 calls. Should I give her a call again tomm or just give up & accept that the moment has passed???
Yea I definitely would love the position to work within a hospital based EMS.
I feel I did the right choice. Right off the back, I'm "infected" & just the "hello hand shake" would rattle me a little bit if I was the interviewer. Thanks so much all!
Last question.
Like I said earlier...
Thanks again all!
Yup. Did. Twice! The 1st was the notification of what happened & the 2nd was to follow up. Not gonna call 3 times. I left my cell # so they have both my cell & house. They don't call, they don't call. Not gonna lose sleep.
Made the decision not to go in today. Called the woman twice early this morning, giving her plenty of notice time. Don't know what her schedule is so not sure if or when she will be calling back. Will be calling her again in a little while. But yea, I def agree on both parts but definitely more...
Supposed to have an interview later this morning w/a hospital EMS & caught a case of pink eye. Just my FN luck!!!!!! GRRRRRRR!!!!!!
Hoping they will reschedule for next week when I'm presentable....
I really have the luck, smh.....
Hi all. Have an interview this Friday with a 911 hospital based EMS. I'm extremely nervous. With all honest, only have about 7/8 months in EMS & that was dealing w/transport EMS & that ended about May / June 2012. So basically been out of the field for about 7 months, give or take. So as I'm...
Morning all.
Just updating my resume & I would like to include my current EMT work info. Can anyone send me a sample of what it would look like on a resume format. Thanks!
I was at a diner in NJ the other day & I saw another car with a plaque on the front windshield that was basically the NJ EMT patch. The plaque was basically the same one that police officers & their families have on their front windshields.
Does anyone know anything about this or where this...
Thanks so much buddy. Just called & I am on the list but the FDNY was going on I believe the civil exam list or something to that nature. I was on some provisional list she stated. Anyway, she said the next opening is going to take place about July to Sept. Thanks!!!
Hi. I passed the NYS EMTB test in August 2010. From Aug to late 2010, I contacted the FDNY to register for their EMT class. I did register, however I have not heard back from them or received anything in the mail. A friend of mine who is already a FDNY EMT told me if I remember correctly, that I...
Totally feel ya on this 1. I'm still a newbie. Been vollying w/2 agencies in NY & combined work times w/both agencies, it took me about 2/3 tours before I was even brave enough just to do vitals. Not that I didn't know how to do it but just the fact that basically, "all eyes are on you" can be a...
Being a somewhat new EMT, the answer to this question to me is totally unknown but definitely curious about the answer.
How come a EMT salary is so low?
I do understand that depending where you're working at, there may be a good amount of down time but on the other hand, you are to a...
WOW!
Seems very hard but I'm looking for salaried EMS positions in NJ around the Kearny, Jersey City, Newark, Hoboken area & the majority of listings I found online are mostly for volunteer agencies. So far I just applied for Linden EMS & Life Streams Transport. I did a post regarding this a...
Does anyone know if their still in operation or anything to that nature? I live around the corner from them & I rarely see them open. Maybe once or twice a month I might see the ambulance driving around & maybe on a full moon night I might actually hear there sirens go off but that doesn't mean...
Yup, I hear ya. Having 4 members on 1 rug is alot to me but I guess every volly squad is different. I know 1 of the volly's deals w/an EMT school so it's basically Driver, Chief, EMT & EMT student. The other volly which I seen by their schedule is definitely more busy is the one w/Driver, Chief...
I'm really not sure about the staffing but I double & triple checked this & it is a requirement for 4 members on each bus. Guess that's the reason why it's hard to get many shifts filled.
