The pulseOx detects the amount of O being carried. It will give you a number of it. I do not believe that it measures the shape of the hemoglobin, from what my instructer said, it is just measuring the amount of the O2 or O in the blood. It is not just something, but that specific thing...

He may have had a perferated ulcer in his stomach, in which the tums would have increaced the amount of pressure, and then ruptured it.. causing bleeding in the stomach that could possibly be pusshed up with the chest compressions. If that happened then there is no way you would have known...
