    i do agree with you and yes i do understand what you are saying. i have been through paramedic and have been on the street for 8 yrs. my point was look at the underlying problem in certain situations. if the pt is gonna fight ya don't push the issue. if the pt needs it and will tolerate it...

    field vs. book, 2 totally different monsters..for testing use the book. witnessed: shock em unwitnessed: 2 min cpr then defib em only if in v-fib or pulseless v-tach! asystole (fine v-fib) :well you'll only shock em once. (joke)

    if you do have your boot on the floor, use your toe and not the whole foot. i usually rest their arm on my leg. some people use super fancy bells and stuff, the cheap Stethoscope works for me. i have a good one but i can't hear a damn thing out of it.

    i posted this in another thread. always be aware of the situation in the back, if your partner is standing or what not. it's good to call corners, stopping points, big bumps and train tracks. you'll get better at it, it's nerve racking the 1st couple of shifts.. word of advise...
