Sure do. Use them all the time out here in the desert. Carried them for years. I know for a fact they are ICEMA approved. If the state doesn't like it they need to take it up with ICEMA. Sure beats bagging somebody for an hour or longer.
The minimum commitment is one 24 hour shift per week for the first nine weeks. This is for training. After you complete training we require 36 hours per month. Of course you can put in more time if you wish.
The program involves unpaid time serving as an EMT or Medic. I would look at it as a resume/experience builder. Our reserves frequently step into paid part-time and full-time position as they become available.

The reality is there isn't a cookie cutter, one size fits all piece of equipment that works for everybody. In conjunction with the other resources available at these events, this vehicle suits our particular needs well.
