We are getting the rosetta box for the M-series. Never really liked them. I use a Phillips MRX at another department and it sends directly to the ambulance cell phone via BT. Very easy. takes seconds. Then back to patient care. Unfortunately it wont be that way for the Zoll M-series.
Thanks for the input. I was under the understanding that it is cabable of blue-tooth use but apparently the customer service at Zoll thinks its an older type of blue-tooth technology vs what newer phones are using. The guy is either trying to make a sale on a newer monitor or knows nothing about...
Does anyone know if the Zoll M series is Blue tooth capable? Was told by Zoll customer service that it is but is an older blue tooth technology and will not work with newer blue tooth technology phones. Any input? thanks.
This seems to be a common problem in the EMS system I work in as well. But as said by others, the hospitals assessment shouldn't be ruined by pain management pre-hospital. There are other tests and procedures that they will eventually have to do to come up with a final diognosis anyway, and in...
I was zapped once by a pt's internal defib/pacer. I was doing CPR, had the pads on the guy, and ZAP! I flew back, mostly from surprise and thought one of the paramedics had hit the shock button. My hand cramped up but that was it. It happened three more times on the way to the hospital. Kind of...
Thats cool. It always is the first thing that you do for a pt with SVT, but seems to rarely work. Although I had a pt once that converted into a sinus rhythm from SVT while attempting an IV. When I poked him he flinched, which may have precipitated the conversion. But then the hospital released...
I wouldnt recomend anyone doing donuts in an ambulance though. You might be asking for trouble. They are a little too top heavy for that type of stuff.
Thats interesting. A lot of hospitals and even EMS providers are switching over to the king LT which they say is better and is faster. When I did my OR time the hospital I was at used both lms's and ET's but only on certain pt's. are there any other hospitals in your area that use ET's?
The good thing about epi is it will hopefully increase the chances of producing a shockable rhythm. Along with its other actions. vasopressin has been studied by the AHA and has shown to have strong effects. It depends on the problem that is causing the crdiac arrest.
Man. the things they let in the courts.....Im all about religious rights, but I think this is a dumb topic to even bring up in a court. I read my Bible and I have yet to see anything about needing a beird to believe in God.
Hello.. My name is Jason. I am from Racine, Wi. I have been a Firefighter/EMT for a little over 4 years. I have been an EMT Intermediate/99 for almsot 2 years and recently took a bridge class to paramedic. Which wasnt much of a "bridge" I might add. I work for a local Fire Department part time...
ah yes. So I tried to go to bed and the heating system which is on the other side of the wall has a skweeky fan that is driving me crazy. So here I am. Couldnt sleep. Lack of sleep and working. Got to love it.
Well in that case, I just ate part of the napkin that was surrounding the hot pocket I just warmed up. Didnt notice it until it was too late. Its about -5 degrees outside and windy. And I am hoping my truck starts in the morning at the end of my shift so I can make it to Church on time.
