Laughing at funerals
Similar thing happened to me at a funeral once... Standing around the open casket of an elderly lady, they funeral directors had padded her mouth with cotton in place of her dentures, one tiny bit of thread was poking out the side. The dead woman's middle aged daughter came...

I had some basic first aid skills, the kind you get from being a mom and doing some first aid courses. I was always interested in learning more but was always too busy until one new years eve night in a strange city when talking to a local police man some yob came up behind him and broke a full...
We use Nitrous Oxide / Entonox for pain relief, we use a mask that is held by the patient and we also use a mouth piece instead of a mask if the patient prefers this. Its great for pain of dis-located joints and fractures while we splint or traction. It is also used to relieve the pain of...
Just in case anyone is interested, I was told by a lady in Upstate NY who teaches pet first aid.
To do compressions on a dog you lay him on his right side, then you bring his left front leg over his chest to find where the elbow meets the chest, that is the spot you do compressions on.

I just got reminded of an old guy age 86 at the time, he had bad chest pain, knew it was something serious and called 911, then he figured that he may die and meet his wife who was dead 10 years already.

Seriously though, it could have been a code and time was not something to waste. I pity the lady but next time she should call for help then go and sit outside or leave her door ajar lol...
So what...
LOL!
I am supposed to be PC so I can't tell them that... Those boots look great and they are red too. Only problem is we have to wear Steel toes and we can not cover up the hi viz stripes at the bottom of the pants...
Rules Rules Rules...
Having said that though, I have wellington boots I...
I do not think Phecc have anything to do with it really, I am not even sure if it will happen, we were just told that we will be having a meeting to discuss the uniform changes and be measured and that there will be a new Navy work pants. I will believe it when I see it.
If you ask me the RC...
I got shocked by an electric cow fence climbing over a ditch at an event a few months ago. Everything seems to happen in the cow fields around here. Thank goodnes cows can't fly.
I agree. Are you with one of the other Vols? or HSE? The RC seems to be cosying up to the HSE and Phecc are getting a greater say in what we wear and do and have greatly improved our standard of training, perhaps this is why changes are being made.
Right, I would not mind them staying red, only problem with that is that a lot of our work is standby at sports and the red really gets grubby with grass stains and mud. We come home looking like we have been in the trenches. Our dress pants are navy and when I instruct I wear navy. It goes well...
