Once a week I pickup a over night shift at our free standing ED, this shift is dead. We have decided that to pass time we are going to bring in cards against humanity. As we all know medical staff are by nature cynical with a dark sense of humor. Dose anyone have good medical jokes to add as...
I keep a bag with tq, hemostat, chest seals, bvm, sam splints, dressings and other assorted items in the back of my xterra and one in my saddle bag on my motorcycle. There is also a OB kit under the seat in the xterra.
Sitting in my office with radio on on the desk
Dispatch: unit *** uncoded medical mid 50s male south transit center respond channel 5.
Unit: ETOH?
Dispatch: (dead key) probably.
And yes it was a frequent flyer ETOH when they arrived in my ED.
28f... everyone gets a 28f. That OD 28f that old lady 28f and the 23 year out man child with a fishhook in his hand defenetly gets a 28f. That's all I keep in the med kit in my truck.
