    Pupils

    Why do people's pupils constrict when they are sleeping? Generally, does trauma to the eye cause constriction or dialation? Or does it vary with different pts? Will head injuries ever cause pupils to constrict instead of dilate?

    Unresponse choking pt.

    **Unresponsive** The pt has a pulse, but isn't breathing due to an airway obstruction- They get CPR with a finger-sweep.. Can't the trauma from the compressions cause the patient to go into cardiac arrest?

    Getting pt. into ambulance

    Can you have the patient walk into the ambulance if they are able to instead of having to lift them on the stretcher? For example, a patient who really needs a taxi but calls 911 for something like a toothache, a minor cold, etc...

    poisonous snake bite

    I've always been told just to have the pt calm down, and do nothing else, but the logical thing to me would be to apply a tourniquet and ice...what do u guys think?

    I was always taught that people who are having seizures should just be left alone to seize, but i find bite sticks on a bunch of ems store websites..... So, the question is...do you or do you not use the bite stick..I always knew that you're not supposed to, but if you weren't supposed to...

    BVM on breathing pt

    ok....so can you bag a pt. with respirations less than 12... lets say u have pt with a rr of 8 or 10...would u bag them? how would you go about doing this? btw...the pt is conscious.. what if the pt is not conscious?
