    don't worry most department set up a ride along its their way of seeing if you can handle the stress. also on calls your training will kick in its like second nature. AMR's test is not that bad just remember to use the proper lifting, that and dont rush take your time you'll do fine.

    we have a problem here that most of the acusations are correct. over the past years alot of my fellow employees have been caught. this is sad to say but ems in pittsburgh is just as corupt as anything else.

    getting it We are all part of the same team. Als, Bls, Life Support is in in both. S<_<ometimes medics and emt bash each other but I know my job would be alot harder if I didnt have a good team. EMS is one big team we need to treat it as one.

    I dont know about NJ but in Pittsburgh EMDs make a pretty good wage. Private services pay better than county but needless emd make alot more than just emts. but that is still just a stepping stone in EMS. I hope you Become a good medic. And who knows maybe even a PHRN.

    I had the same. When I got my EMT because it was part of the fire academy's requirements to graduate. After time I decided that my life was in EMS not Fire. But I know where your comming from.:rolleyes:
