This topic may have already been covered but I was thinking about putting together a bug out bag and was wondering if you guys had any thoughts as to what would make a good all around bag to grab should the proverbial poop hit the fan.
I'm sure this is prob been covered, but do you have to be NREMT at every step of the way? I think in Florida they require us to be NREMT-B before we can even pursue Paremedic School. But I don't know if we have to be NREMT-P for Fire Academy. Hmmm....
Ok so this isn't exactly a field story, but funny none the less. I was working in the hospital helping a buddy transport a diseased person from the cath lab to the morgue. This was my first time transporting a dead person and I didn't realize how much more difficult it was to move dead...

How important is it to "know" people when looking for a job after graduation? I know making a good impression is important, but I had been hired at our hospital here because I knew the director of the department and he was able to attest to my abilities and character where...
