Mine started with 12 and still have 12, not very far in but you are going to see variance depending on the program. Colleges tend to have a Lower pass rate due to it being money driven and not a strict interview process.
I had to take a state Emt exam, math exam, do an abstract on IN Narcan...
Does anyone have any issues with IN narcan ?
the downfall of it?
Of course i see positives...
extending the training to BLS providers, having a different route of administration with it comes to pts that overdose from needles, cutting down the risk of bloodborne pathogens, etc
I just got my list number too ...674. I think everyone gets a 70 as passing . There are no questions it's all experience . I Intend on going to medic school in September so I doubt they will be calling me anytime soon. Ill just have to reapply as a medic .
just wait until you ride through the hood of a town, hitting bumps left and right and seeing the needle seize lol. It gets easier....just listen it takes some practice.
I work part time for a private ambulance as a BLS provider. we do IFT and emergency calls. Those emergency calls are all from nursing and rehab facilities . Depending on days of the week it can vary. Sometimes ill do dialysis jobs all day or discharges from hospitals and other days ill get a...
I'm actually on the rig now for the private service lol, I defiantly think it's helps having a 911 background. it's literally just pick up and drop off. A lot of the elderly patients do this so often , they just want casual conversation, quick vitals and a drop off. I'm glad I volly to keep me...
That's the ultimate goal :) ...stony brook only offers it in August , it be almost impossible to get 10k for a class coming up for a different program that is sooner . In still waiting on the fdny to release the civil service exam filing period.

As far as financially , i don't have it. Where i volly they will pay for it from what i heard but its a huge process.
FDNY will pay for it but you have to give 3 years...
i have all intentions of taking a medic program, i look forward to it, even though i heard its holly hell on you mentally.
I just got my card for EMT, i wanted to try and get a year under my belt for experience purposes before jumping into a course that demands so much.
