    This just occurred to me.

Did you work while in paramedic training?

If so, how was that? Or, if you're doing it right now, how is it? I would need to keep about a 30-hr work week. Wondering how f/t paramedic school would be on top of that. I realize people have different resources, support systems, etc and that YMMV. :)

    Desensitized to blood--or not?

I'm interested to know how/when/where along the way you became sufficiently desensitized to blood to not react to it and to be able to do your job. I'm making an assumption that this does occur, so I'm also interested to know if it hasn't happened to you and you struggle with it.

    Paramedic salary--Cincinnati, Oh?

So. Would the salary be closer to 30-, 40-, or 50k? I would be willing to work some overtime, but I am really seeking more money, good medical benefits, and better quality of life (partly through higher income). Sorry for being redundant...I've read many threads in an effort to understand...

How great ARE your medical benefits?

Do you consider your health benefits to be a big perk of the job, regardless of your feelings about your job otherwise?

    Starting paramedic training at 48?

Hi everyone, I've just joined the forum here because I am considering paramedic training at age 48, after an almost 20-yr. career as a licensed massage therapist. I'm female, reasonably fit--and can certainly become more so--and have a strong desire to continue to be of service to people, but...
