Falck - or the 900-pound gorilla no one is aware of

True. The Falck NW general manager left strait from RM. The guy I've been told has a reputation for promising all sorts of crazy things to get business and not following through. The CEO of Falck US was fired from RM and brought Falck to the NW it seems to carry out a vendetta on RM. Falck...

    Oregon Employment

Hey, I also have looked into working in Oregon and at Metrowest. Can you tell me why they have the nickname murderdeath, if that's actually a thing? Do they have a bad rep? Or management? Or what?

Medic dumps patient off gurney on purpose

Wow, never thought a thread started by me would stir up so much controversy :P As far as A hole patients, in my experience I have found that being obnoxiously nice to them, asking them to talk to you etc will make them settle down. Which EMS, fire and police should all be doing anyway..

Yeah man go for it, one guy I know who did that course is now a FF/medic in Eastern WA. So really it doesn't matter too terribly much where you go to school.

    Paramedic pay in WA?

First off, R/M in piece County is NOT fancy. Neither is AMR, or really any other private place haha. Falck though, also not fancy, is hiring medics like crazy right now and a guy I talked to who works there says they start at 40,000 a year. Probably like 16 an hour? They run maybe 2 calls in...

EMT jobs in Snohomish / King County -WA state

they don't run with paramedics though. although if you wanted to go the CCT RN route there is that: Northwest Ambulance, plus Rural/Metro, AMR, and Tri med who do CCT as well. but you need like 3-5 years experience as an RN in an ER and/or ICU..

EMT jobs in Snohomish / King County -WA state

unfortunately to be a medic in King County you have to either be with a FD for 3 or more years or apply through King County Medic one. KCMO is third service, no fire fighting, pay is awesome. But hard to get into. Other third service ALS includes Skagit County medic one, North Country EMS...

EMT jobs in Snohomish / King County -WA state

There are also quite a few Snohomish fire districts that accept volunteers. Districts 1, 4, 14, 27 etc. and North County fire rescue. Stanwood Fire. don't know how flexible volunteer schedules are. If you're looking for good 911 experience, R/M and Falck's Sno/king operation and...

Got an Interview with Olympic Ambulance in Washington

actually Skagit County medic one is just as legit as King County. if not better. king County is too isolated from the outside world imo. not that i would ever turn down a job offer from them.. there's also North Country EMS in yacolt, WA, third service, starts medics at $18 or something...

    Seattle/King County

Long story short, you cannot work as a medic in king county without going through the king county medic one program. Try literally any other county in the state though!

    Seattle/King County

AMR contracts with Seattle for BLS 911. When a call goes out an engine or ladder responds first. If BLS transport is needed they call for AMR. If it's an ALS call Seattle medics get called for. I believe Seattle medics only are auto dispatched to codes. Trimed does not do 911 in Seattle but has...
