    EMT Jobs

None of us would have chimed in if the proper information had been posted in the first place. That being said, I am only offering information I have heard from people I trust and from running calls on that rez and casino for 10 years. If I was an EMT, I'd still definitely apply for the position...

    EMT Jobs

This applies to any position on a reservation. I can tell you from first hand experience that Morongo Fire kisses the *** of every tribal member they run on, especially the elders. Not that every patient shouldn't be treated well, but i mean being completely over the top to please them. I have...

    EMT Jobs

For more info, AFAIK, Morongo EMT's no longer provide security as well. At least when I worked for AMR in that area, they would respond to incidents in the casino or hotel and wait for Morongo Fire medics and then AMR to show up. It's not the best experience, but it's decent money.

    Coronavirus Discussion Thread

Okay, so devil's advocate here. If the above mentioned article is correct and there are anywhere close to 21 Million deaths in China, would that not mean we need stricter measures to control it, else end up like them?

Air Methods to pay out $78M in unpaid wages to CA employees

I know it, it happened a few weeks ago, its ridiculous to get a bird from O-side or Carlsbad if you guys or Reach from Imperial are available.

Air Methods to pay out $78M in unpaid wages to CA employees

One of those new bases is in the district I work for. It'll be nice to not have to wait so long for an airship. Though I suspect Reach 21 getting 90% of the flights out of here is a major motivator.

What was your first 911 call?

MIne was in OC too. Auto vs scooter, compound tib-fib fx. Don't stress man, it gets better.

Where are my Kern county Medics at? (quick question)

For a FD in CA, the pay is pretty low. But retirement and benefits are good. It's more than i make now as an Engineer/Medic, and their schedule is pretty kick ***. I also work for the lowest paid dept in my county, hourly, I made more at AMR, but my benefits are 500/mo cheaper here and i have...

Where are my Kern county Medics at? (quick question)

It's not great, though I make less as an FAE at my current spot and it is far less than LAFD or anywhere in LACo really. The PM gives you a 10% bonus for being in the "paramedic pool" and 15% if functioning as a medic(this is all according the job announcement). Even as far back as 09 when I was...

Where are my Kern county Medics at? (quick question)

Dont mean to hijack your thread but since all you KCo peeps are in here. Did KCoFD make more ALS engines or is it still just PMC and Stallion Springs? They are hiring lateral FFPM's and Im curious why if they still only have 2 ALS engines. I applied as I always liked those guys when i was at...

    the 100% directionless thread

Interesting. Did you do a Basic FFA in Cali before you went out to HI? Our ladders and all depts in this area are fly in, unless for a rescue.

Any info on Guardian Ambulance in El Monte?

Looks like typical LACo IFT company. Have you applied at Care, McCormick or AMR?

Orange County and SE LA County - Paramedic Private Ambulance

Cali was a ****show before they went to their own dept. The city didnt want to pay for a medic on the engine, so they went to a non-union, BLS dept managed by a guy who ran another fire agency into the ground. Their pay is laughable, benefits not on par with any public safety agency. They wanted...

Orange County and SE LA County - Paramedic Private Ambulance

Difference with them is that AMR has always been ALS in that city. That FD is a revolving door with no retirement, garbage pay, and piss-poor leadership.

We'll see how long that lasts.

    Care Ambulance Hiring Freeze?

I was there during that transition, around 06, those were the only people who went straight to that side. For LA/OC Care wasn't too bad, thought I've heard since it's no longer a mom and pop shop, things are not as they once were.

    Care Ambulance Hiring Freeze?

To be fair, you have to be on IFTs for awhile at Care before going to 911. Although things may have changed in the past 15 years since i worked there.

    That's exactly what they are.
