    Psychology is right. You will need very little knowledge to pass the class. BUT once you will hit the field you will find nurses, doctors, and medic using the proper terminology :wacko:. Think ahead. You will NEVER learn something useless.

    Ok I work at a private BLS contracted to SNF. We get an ER call for high fever. AOS TFA 84 y/o F. RN tell us that patient's base line is confused with very little verbal response. Pt appears to be sleeping. We tried yelling at her to wake her up but it didnt work. Pt is full code (no DNR)...

    Study it ALL My instructor had 25 question quizzes that were a paragraph long :glare:. So a pt info and then a question about what part of the body is affected. Study it all. Dont skip a thing. You will need every bit of it.

    Did it at least help? It probably is one hell of story those worker can tell. Spraying S**t is not a daily occurrence.

    I had a patient that had a c/c of SOB. She was on 15 LPM. En route she tried lighting a cigarette. As soon as we got to the Hospital she unbuckled herself and jumped off thee gurney. Had a nearby nurse sign that patient went AWOL. So far didnt get any heat for that.

    It is a red flag for me because I am aware of scams (not saying they are in fact a scam.) Doing two 12 hour ride alongs for free without at least going through a protocol test or an interview looks suspicious for me. To me personally, it looked like they need a few extra hands from time to time...

    I will say from personal experience now that Xtreme Care is a decent company. You get to work with a full range of personalities. Good BLS start. Fairly new company so they are hiring.

    Xtreme Care So is Xtreme Care good or bad? So far I have heard it both ways. I have an interview this week. Heard there is a 12 question quiz multiple choice.
