    Bullet Proof Vest!

    Our Dept. issues vests,concealable,if staff wish to use external carriers it is at your own personal expense. We are issued Level 2 armor with the T-15 Insert for added protection. Most staff are good about wearing, a few have chosen to let the armor sit in their lockers for various reasons...

    They took ownership away from my service,the units are dirty,not restocked, over stocked, empty main oxygen and or portable tanks, may or may not get fueld, or washed, The list goes on.............:glare:

    I'd bring one of those kids helmets with siren and the rotating light on top,slap that bad boy on. Just in case. But seriously, I would not just offer up my status, EMR,EMT,PARAMEDIC,however if your a fireman,anounce that over the loud speaker, I'm sure they will roll out the red carpet for ya.:P

    Looking for opinions on helmet decorating.

    Sorry for the late reply. I as well assumed the goggles would slip down and on, I see now that that is not the case. I never have had any issues with the visor, I usually wear my safety glasses as well during extrications. Thanks for the info.

    Appropriate PPE for inside the vehicle

    Can only wear what I'm issued. Helmet with face shield, Safety Glasses, yellow coat, Slash gloves,with nitrile gloves inside,. My wish list: NFPA approved coat and pants, I love FDNY EMS turnouts:beerchug:
