Love my Jobs Paramedic with EMS service.. Pro Ski Patrol/medic at local mtn in winter.. Masonry Construction bus. I had before becoming a medic and still run and work at when not on the rig....Its where I make my real money... the Paramedic pay I put back for retirement. Whitewater...

gonna be tuff after screwing up with 3 in a yr. Bad luck or careless driving, just about kills his chances of getting a job.....driving record IS important......

Also take your NEMT , it puts you in front of all the others who are only EMTs! A good service is going to require it anyway......

A ll depends on where you apply. Some services run only Paramedics , others also use basics. In the eastern end of NC, East of Charlotte sees a lot of basics on their trucks, because of lack of funds to hire paramedics. On the western end of the state the level of care is MUCH better...

65% glad you not working near me or mine Our schools here in NC , require a min. of 80% to pass , EMT and Paramedic! Not much of a bar or much said on pt. care if you are expected to be wrong 35% of the time.... Sorry if this bites ...just calling it as I see it. TOO SLACK:sad:

Yes , we use it for the reasons you described here in NC. We also use it for Ventricular Dysrhythmias. 1.5mg/kg IV/IO Its used quite often , with positive results. Its part of our protocols.
