I think if you search the web for ambulance pics, you'll be able to see what works and what doesn't. I find you can have too much, making you look tacky, and too little that you look cheap. As long as you get the message out, your on the right track. Just dont slap a tiny star of life and an ECG...
I've never driven a Type I before, but these rigs look pretty sweet. Type I are not common in Canada. Most Services here roll in either Demer's Type II and III's and Crestline Type III's. I've always been a Horton fan, but we can't import them into Canada. Wheeled Coach has a pretty nice line up.
Being Canadian I love the show. I have no experience overseas so I cannot attest to its accuracy or what not, but I like it. And besides, It sure beats that other show "rescue 77" or whatever it was called.
I'm all for LED's, I feel they are safer for the responders, to be seen. The only down side is at night some units I feel are too bright for drivers passing by. It can be almost blinding.
This is why I hate using things that were gifted to me. I always fear that I'll either loose it, or someone will take it. We can't even keep shears in our rigs or bags 'cause they grow feet and walk away. I usually get things in pair anyway so that i'll use the gifted item for my personal bag...
I'm not sure what your call sheet looks like, but I just bought simple pads from savelives.com I find them good bc you can take down all your vitals, pt. hx treatment etc. and they only cost $3.00 Just type "Sticky Patient Information Note Pads" in the search bar.
