140/80 and you're calling for ALS intercept for hypertensive crisis?

this job is all about making mistakes and learning from it, its an evidence based medicine. Being new, everything is scary, you're not sure what you're suppose to do in certain scenarios and you're not sure what is the right or wrong thing to do at that time. Everybody makes it, and if you...

Paramedic Training Los Angeles/ LA County

i would say your best bet at this time is to weigh your situation financially; what obligations do you have that cannot be interfered with if you went to medic school with at least 4-6 months of no income, how does your wife think about you going to medic school and with the lack of income, etc...

Paramedic Training Los Angeles/ LA County

The most financially move for you is to attend mt. sac's paramedic program. You can always apply for the board of governors fee waiver, which gives exempt, based on income, and qualifies you for free tuition, which essentially the paramedic program itself. 4YO Partial Siezure

the only real main thing that you're concerned about this kid is the possible chance that he might develop into a tonic clonic seizure; therefore, the best thing to do before EMS arrived would be try to isolate him and like the dispatcher said, have him on his side just in case he vomits in...

CARE Ambulance OCo/LCo comment? Offered position, trying to decide.

asking these questions will probably generate a million different answers from a million different people, if you feel like it'll benefit you down the line to work at care, then do it, if not, stay at your current employment. Some will tell you its horrible, some will tell you its great, you...

CARE Ambulance OCo/LCo comment? Offered position, trying to decide.

sounds like you already have a good gig going on at your current employment. Only reason why I would think it might benefit you to go to care would be for the possibly more 911 calls with LA County fire, otherwise, i dont really see any need to leave if you dont really care much for that.

Bystander Denied Access to Ambulance - Legal Issues?

I would say liability alone would warrant him not being allowed riding in the back, especially with how the patient is presenting as you said and is probably in critical condition. A lot of stuff happens in the back of an ambulance in a critical trauma call, and there probably isn't going to be...
