EMT-B re-cert exam. 66-70 questions. Done in 30 minutes. Easy as freaking pie. Tested @ 1245p, resulted 6a the next day. This time around was much more comprehensive (relatively). Frightening to know that a person only has to answer 70 multiple choice questions to be certified to save life...
It will be interesting to see who comes up with the Boulder County/Arvada contracts. Seems like a bust for R/M if they don't get em. I work for Northglenn and we just lost the 911 contract for the city of NG starting at the end of 2011.
It seems as if everybody wants at least 1 year of experience before they will even consider hiring you. I am looking for an emt-b job or a place where I can volunteer and at least get my foot in the door as an EMT with no previous experience. Does anyone have any recommendations as to where I...
Met Dennis and got to talk to him a little bit towards the end of my class. Very cool down to earth guy. If I ever go to P school it would be awesome to learn from him. B)
Excited to take my IV approval soon here in Colorado as an EMT-B. Seems as if most places round here won't take you until you have your IV approval, or will require you to get it upon hire - as if there were jobs to be had right now!

Enrolled in the summer emt-b course at HealthONE EMS through Arapahoe Community College in Englewood.
So far the class is AWESOME. Learning so much and loving. Had exam #2 tonight and rocked it with a solid A. Thanks to everyone for the great advice and...
Wow I am glad I am not the only one! The more I research and the more I read the more I want to be part of the EMS community and do this.
I want to attend a strong program, not some so-so, iffy program, hence my reason for coming to the forums.
Thank you so much for the share!
My Situation:
I am graduating college with an unrelated degree in May. After that I am considering a move to Massachusetts to dive into the EMS field. I am taking a First Aid/CPR for the Professional Rescuer class in my last semester to get things going.
I would like to take an EMT-B...
thank you very much for all of the information, i really do appreciate it. is there anything in specific I should be looking for in my education or in a school when I am choosing where I would like to attend?
also, if you pass the national paramedic exam does that give you license to...
Ive been searching left and right for an EMT Basic class and haven't had much luck. Can anyone point me in the direction of where the course is offered? If anyone has recommendations I am all ears.
