I've been looking into moving to FL as well. If you are a NREMT-B you should have reciprocity. At least that's what I gathered. http://www.nremt.org/nremt/about/stateReciprocityMap.asp

We just finished airway in my medic class. I've done it on the dummy recently. :P

If it were me I'd stay @ the trauma center. Start the medic program a little later. You're already an RN.

I just did my second interview for and ER Tech position here in MS. I'm in medic school but I'm only and EMT-B at the moment. The job posting said specifically that you could be an EMT-B or CNA to apply though.

I got my book back out and scanned through all the important stuff. I passed the first time, but it was tough I left thinking I had failed and was looking at re-test dates.

40k doesn't sound bad for a basic. If you can get a job at all that is. I just went for my second interview for an ER Tech position, while I'm in medic school. So that's another option if your having trouble finding a job.
