I'm copying the majority of this from a post I made on Reddit because I don't have the energy or will to type it out again. I don't know if I can continue in school. I'm so tired of people saying, "that's what your dad would have wanted". My dad was happy that I was in medic school because he...
Thanks to both of you for the input. I had a little panic attack about my career being over before it started lol. Just seems like, from an employer's point of view, if you didn't learn the first time, what means you won't do it a third time? I just pulled up my driving record though and the...
So, how big of a deal is a non-moving violation cell phone ticket that causes no points when it comes to getting hired? I had one in 2011, and I guess that wasn't enough to keep me from getting another one. I just moved back to California from Florida, and there its legal to talk on the phone...
That's what one person said, and they were apparently very wrong. I'm back in California now and went to the Placer EMS office and all I need to recert is CE, skills, livescan, & BLS. No NREMT and certainly not my license "being expired longer". -_-
That's what I was told yesterday. Because I've already lapsed and I'm not trying to recertify before lapsing, I need my CEs, my skills, and the written test. Regardless of whether or not I can go through the state with or without NREMT, I'm planning on taking it.
OCEM,
I can see where it may have come across like I was complaining about having to redo all of this again, but that wasn't my intention. My frustration was just coming from being told different things by different people and not knowing exactly what I needed to get done because everyone...
Well, good news. I just got off of the phone with someone else at Placer County who said that I don't need NREMT, and that whoever told me I wasn't expired enough to show up in their system didn't have a clue what they were talking about. I head back to California in six days and will be...
I don't have the six months experience. Wish me luck for calling NREMT tomorrow. The most frustrating part is that Placer County said they don't require NREMT, the only reason they can't recert me is because I haven't been expired long enough. Three other counties said that makes no sense, so...
I'm trying to, just a time crunch right now.
To Apply For Recertification You Must:
