Its good to see that you have an attitude that is happy if you pass or fail but I'm sure you'll do fine as long as you keep up with the work!
And its nice to see a fellow hiker as well ahha and God knows basic first aid is needed on advanced hikes
Crash courses usually mean a lot more studying on your part to be a good EMT... the long courses give you time to refresh, study, and practice the skills.
IMO I don't mind em but remember you want to be as good as you can be when the life of a patient is in your hand so I say good luck to you...
Damn.. .100??? my class started with probably 17... one or two of them left the first few weeks... one guy couldn't even multiply by two when doing pulse and resp... and then the rest of us passed the practical except one gal. She broke the o2 tank when trying to crack it.... i'm not sure how...
Can't say that it has changed my life per say... then again I haven't seen as many crazy calls as the rest of you people... mostly sick, EDPs, MVAs....
I'm pretty sure I won't change as a person but am constantly reminded that life is precious.
