I use an app called FD Shift Calendar. You can program any shift schedule you want and even program Kelly days.

I cant speak specifically to their cancer treatment abilities, but Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington and Fairfax hospital are both top notch facilities.

I'm confused, are you looking for info on hospitals to receive treatment or is your friend seeking employment at a hospital?

I'm in PWC and we use a 24/48 with a Kelly every 7 shifts, and a double Kelly 2 or 3 times per year. I couldn't think of a better schedule to keep morale high among the staff. We do still have some day work engines and those guys are miserable. A real pain if you live outside of the county...

I think another reason being a medic in Fairfax can be draining is that nova schedule. By the 3rd shift of your tour on a busy medic unit, you guys have gotta be worn out and sleep deprived.

Fairfax is a great department, but the schedule was a big turn off for me.

A couple of BLS ambulances staffed with 2 EMT-B's. The rest are all ALS units staffed with dual medics, I/P. We still have I/99's here but due to the changes in the national scope that will soon be implemented, I/99's will be upgrading to P over the next few years.

Dead lifts are the most important in my opinion. We pick up so many patient's that it would be negligent to not focus on DLs.
