    What I meant by paramedic-based is that we used the same textbook as the paramedic class, were required to get ACLS, PALS, and ITLS to graduate, know 12-leads, and had the same clinical requirements as paramedics. Also, fail one test, you're out--even if its the last 2 weeks of the course...
