Yes if you take a CPR or BLS class you can do a ride along(s). I did one like 10 years ago. I got a job flying private jets that took up all my time for awhile. My BLS is expired but maybe I should see if I can renew it and do some ride alongs in the meantime.

My local volunteer ambulance next EMTB class starts in March. What should I do over the winter to make my learning experience better and be more prepared? I have taken BLS before and I am currently re-reading through that material for now.

Finished the BLS course, got my ride along application just waiting for the cert to come in the mail although I took it there anyway I should probably just mail it in now. They said they are going to notify when the next EMT-B class is starting.

Update: So I signed up for the latest BLS class. From what I gather through Google searching is that BLS is basically CPR/AED with some additional life support functions for healthcare providers like ambu bags at such. Is this about right? They said I could take either for the ride along but BLS...
