    I work with slobs

DUDE... I wanna roll with you. I have had partners who's attitude is, "I'm the medic so I do the thinking, you do everything else." You can't wrap the monitor up or clean up your IV mess on a 15 min. transport?! Oh, and re-stock of the entire unit is my job too, even the ALS stuff n drugs? Now...

Advice on work environment, ER VS EMS

Totally a matter of personal taste. But if you want to be a medic, you gotta have the 911 experience. I personally enjoy being out n about at work, so I never went the ER route as an EMT. You will learn different things in both environments. My 2 cents... get off IFT! You didn't take an EMT...

    Looking for Paramedic Schools... Help!

There's quite a few in Southern California, almost all of them at junior colleges. The most "prestigious" (I guess...) would be Mt. San Antonio College. (Mt. SAC) It's in Walnut (near Diamond Bar) I hear it's a tough program but you get awesome training. There are also medic programs at Rio...

    CARE ambulance

First post ever... I worked for CARE back in 07. It's an awesome company in my opinion. But there are ups n downs for all counties. I prefer SB county for sure, but if you're close to or in LA or Orange it may be worth it. As I recall, the interview was easy, just be relaxed. They don't...
