Great post! I think I have heard people ask most of these, but unforunately I was too busy or nice for the proper response..lol

Now I see alot of people discarding the anti-septic wipes/spray, but what would you use to clean the wound if soap and water isn't available?

I am taking a first aid class just for giggles and can use it as an elective for my EMS degree... While looking through the book before the class starts I stumbled on a thing about first degree burns. It says to not use any type of OTC burn cream/spray (waterjel, or anything with "caine") on it...

Luckily most people that need a epi-pen, let us know they already have one just incase. I've seen on the FL DOH site that there is a Emergency Sting Cert which allows you to carry an epi-pen to use on others.

I work a festival at the Ocala National forest in Florida. Its held once in the summer and winter. My group is mostly FR's with one or two EMT's/PM's. For your first renewal, you only need a current CPR card at the time of renewal and you also need 2hr HIV/AIDS CEU. Then pay the 20 bucks for the renewal on the website. After that you need all 32hrs of CEUS and CPR to renew.

As you heard correct, you don't need CPR to start. They gave us time to get it as they do for you. Yes, that is the clinical guys name. I am surprised he still works there, because I thought they let him go.
