I'm so stoked right now! The only remaining thing standing between me and starting paramedic school this fall is my interview skills. Essentially, the interview for the program is deciding who to cut rather than who to accept; everybody who got an interview received a welcome packet with...

I'm trying to decide if I should ask local farmers and ranchers for permission to fish on their currently flooded fields

    Paramedic Program Question

As soon as I get accepted I'm signing a three year pro-rated contract

If it makes you feel any better I'm gonna have to replace the master cylinder and possibly brake booster, and new calipers up front wouldn't hurt. I'm debating on replacing the drums and shoes in the rear or pushing through so I can convert to discs back there

    New Lifepak 35

A fairly notable service in Tulsa just got the LifePak 35s. I asked one of their guys about it, and he explained the good, the bad, and their growing pains with the switch. It seems like a decent monitor, but to be honest I'd rather have a monitor that's basically Zoll X-Series Advanced...

We're allowed to sleep in as long as we leave a clock out note stating end of shift or we're working more than a 24 at the same station. When traveling we're not allowed to sleep in

Awesome because I've been using the crap out of other people's chargers

Serious question: if you show up to shift, and the last crew member in your bunk forgot their charger, is it acceptable to use it while on shift? That's provided that A). it's compatible with your device, and B). you do the honest thing and leave it where it's at when you leave shift

Just to clarify the front windows are down, my extended cab windows don't open at all, and I stayed at the truck. The dogs were NOT left unattended in a closed truck

We get our ambulances from a dealer in Arkansas, so it's a mere 10 or 12 (roughly) hour round trip

Congratulations @Jim37F getting ROSC like that is always something to be proud of! Good job on your save man 😎

Right now I have my backpack set up as a ready ruck, but it's still only set up for short term bug out situations. If money allowed I wouldn't mind getting a chassis cab Chevy 3500 and putting a chassis mount camper module on it (like in the picture but with a 3500 instead of a 1500). But my...

All great options 😎🤠 my wife and I have also considered those tents that mount to the truck bed when set up. Some of the gear we like to bring there's more portable versions of, but as of right now we have differing opinions on that subject matter.
