Also check into AMR. They run some 911 operations and transfers to. Stay away from amb trans and medcare. You can also look into Gemini, Americana, and Legends EMS. Also since your ex military look into randolph air force base, they are running their own ems operatation.

I dont know if you have checked into them, but last I knew Desert Ambulance operated in Barstow, they hold the 911 contract for the city. I know at one time they operated 3 units a shift and the shifts were 48 on 48 off. Pay was decent from what i know of. down side is that they are a family...

if i remember correctly paramedics should make around 16 to 18 an hour. In houston they only do ift. you have to go to Louisiana for orientation. You have to get there and back, but they take care of you while your there. Pay during training is 9 dollars an hour.

I was wondering if anybody in the San Antonio area has any experience with Med Care ambulance? I am talking with them, might look at hiring on with them, but not finding lots of good things about them.

Check Austin County EMS, Cy Creek EMS, Fayette County EMS, and Washington County EMS. There is also waller county they have an EMS company as well. Galveston has their own EMS system I think.
