Average Pay Rate + Additional Work?

------------ No, these are your own personal cars. You are not acting as an EMT at the time or an ambulance. We use EMT's as they are the only one's hospitals are ok with being drivers and making sure the patients get home ok, outside of friends/family. Hospitals won't let day surgery patients...

Average Pay Rate + Additional Work?

No, this is more like ride sharing programs (ie L-y-f-t, Side-car). This would be a "self-pay" cash/cc business. And yes all the drivers are vetted and validated. And yes we only target cities which all the ride sharing services are permitted. My company has received requests from several...

Average Pay Rate + Additional Work?

I have two questions: 1. What is the average pay RANGE for ALS & BLS drivers? And what is the average pay RANGE for EMT's? 2. If there were a driver service offered that needed EMT's as drivers, which paid drivers $20-30 per trip, using your own car, would you signup? This could be done in...

    EMS contracts

I was wondering, when a private EMS company bids for a city contract and wins, say a $10M contract for 4 years. Do they get the $10M and then no longer bill patients for transport? Or do they get the $10M from the city and then also bill the patients they transport?

    IFT non-emergency industry issues

I was wondering if in your city or county if there is an oversupply of ambulances or if there is a shortage? Also, what are the other issues facing non-emergency transport providers? If someone were to create a service to help out non-emergency transport companies, what wold it be? Maybe...

    Unregulated cities

In Austin, Tx it's law. In fact, if you are an IFT an transporting some old person from a rest home and they crash the IFT crew has to pullover and call 911 and have a city ALS come get the patient. I assume most don't and just keep going, but its on the books that they are required to do this.

    What city is that?

    Unregulated cities

Does anyone have list of cities that have unregulated EMS? What I mean by unregulated is, in Houston, I fall ill I can call a private EMS company directly to pick me up. Besides Houston, San Antonio and parts of DFW do not require citizens to call 911 for emergencies. Austin on the other...
