My service provides bottled water for us so I mostly stick to that. I'll get a monster rehab when I'm feeling a little spendy. When I get tired of plain water I'll throw a scoop or two of jack3d in there get fired up!
Hope you enjoy it. If I weren't working tonite I'd be sippin' pumpkinhead as well. Its one of my favs.
Nothing crazy so far, but the night is young. Hope you all have a safe night out there.
Glad to hear you made it out ok, and kept the presence of mind to safeguard others in the midst of a crisis. Well done.
We hope for your swift recovery.
And thanks for sharing that with us. We all need something to help us keep life in perspective once in a while.
Even while being completely inaccurate in terms of interpretation, I find our mrx to be more reliable than our lp12. Don't have any experience with any other monitors.
The lp12 game me 3 different incorrect 12 lead interpretations taken 1 minute apart on the same pt.
Atleast the mrx gave me...
Just had my first code as a paramedic a couple days ago. Everything went really smooth. Got the IO and tube with no issues. And had a awesome firefighter ride in with me.
We were given the wrong address which delayed out time to pt by 2 minutes, but rescue was doing excellent CPR when we got...
I saw an exact figure once and wish I could remember what it was, but I believe with the cost of school and salary/benifits my company spent around 28-30K putting me through medic school.
The EMT school they put me through was roughly 6 weeks and came with a 1 year commitment. Not sure how...
I work for a great company. They really take care of us.
With everything they have given and invested in me, I don't think 5 years is too much to ask.
They contract buy out is prorated annually should I decide to leave.
While im medic school, not only did they pay for the school, but also my...
My medic school was 50-60 hours a week for 7 months.
Fortunately I am lucky enough to work for a service that paid me to go. I was able to earn my base EMT salary and kept my benifits throughout the program. I owe em 5 years but that's a small price to pay. Im not going anywhere.

I deleted my Facebook 2 and a half years ago while in EMT school.
Best decision ever. So Much better without it.
Several of my co-workers have been reprimanded due to Facebook comments. Happens way too often.
Hopefully he will be able to find another job with another dept soon.
Hello everyone. The name is Brandon. New paramedic here. Been in EMS for 2 years. Really enjoy surfing the forum looking for new topics to study. Thanks for keeping me busy!
Been barefoot running for 5ish years or so and love it. Improved my posture, core strength, and I can stand bent over in the back of the ambulance all day without any back pain.
That being said, I've never run barefoot on the street. Wont ever do it. Too dangerous. I run on a kind of astroturf...
