Sent mine off on a Monday and had numbers showing on the state website on a Thursday morning. Had the license in hand on Friday. May I ask where you are in school foe EMT?
Hey guys (and gals), I'll be taking the AEMT test here in a few weeks and I'm curious what anybody who has taken it can tell me about it. I know that it's 135 questions written; I'm more curious about content. How much harder was it than the basic NREMT?
Thanks in advance.
I'll be taking it a a little less than a month and honestly I feel like aside from drugs, IV's, and a few basic EKG's I haven't learned one thing. I heat that's pretty status quo though.
Hey everyone,
I'm curious if anyone from the Atlanta area can elaborate on some of services within the Metro area (Grady, Metro Atlanta Ambulance, etc.). If you have personal experience that is even better. Just trying to gauge where some of the better places are to work.
Thanks in advance!!
The way I see it is if you can do the job the right way and safely, your just as qualified as the 20 yr. old person. Don't let age be your determining factor.
If I were you I would take the part times that some of the places offer. That way you have a foot in the door to move into full time and you're making some money doing it. Just my .02.
A shift a week is all I'd be able to manage for the next few months as well, but I agree; I think it's valuable experience that will set me above some of the other people coming out of my class that don't get that experience.
