We are "very" rural but we always call the hosp. before we get there. Showing up through the ER is one thing but bringing a pt in the buggy deserves a heads up. Makes for a better relationship with all involved.:rolleyes:
WoW. All I can say is if they did that to my wife or daughter, they would have me behind bars. Whatever their reasons this does NOT justify doing that along side of the road. I don't care much for law suits but these girls deserve to win big. Patdowns,..OK but that was a violation on both ladies...
Go for it. What you don't have in size you can make up for it with wit. We had a call for an over 300 lb patient and the medic wasn't much bigger but they got the job done. 2 people and a stair chair works wonders.:)
Contact your school now. Classes may be out for you but Teachers and staff have been known to work well into the summer. Our guidance counselor was available year round. That was many years ago but it wouldn't hurt to ask.
bigbaldguy has the best advice you can get. If you know your stuff and try to rush through things you will push yourself too far too quick. The time given is really longer than you realize. Good luck
